Counting objects

We can count objects in the same way we count pictures, the last number we count is the amount we counted all together.

Counting sounds and actions

When counting sounds and actions we can't rely on pointing at objects. An alternative strategy is to say the number words in order as you hear each sound or observe each action. Another idea is to put up a finger each time to represent the sounds or actions and then count the number of fingers you have raised.
