Tradition

A tradition is a repeated way of doing something that has existed for a long time, for example:

• A British tradition is to buy a gift made of silver to celebrate a the birth of a new baby.
• A Japanese tradition is for the grandparents to cook for an entire month to celebrate the birth of a new baby.
• A Czech tradition is to buy coloured nappies to celebrate the birth of a new baby.
