Thermometer

A thermometer is a device we can use to find out the temperature of something. They can be used outside or inside.

A thermometer shows us how cold or hot something is by way of a line against some numbers, the line will grow or shrink alongside a list of numbers. We can read the temperature of a thermometer by reading the highest number the line reaches. The higher this number the warmer something is.

Alternatively some thermometers have digital displays like ones found in cars or on the front of some fridges.
