Delivery Note

From My Second Brain

A delivery note is a financial document which provides evidence of what's been delivered to a customer. A delivery note is a source document.

Things to note about a delivery note:

  • It will have a reference number so it can be referred to in discussions around a delivery.
  • The method of delivery is usually indicated.
  • The delivery note will reference a purchase order number if supplied.
  • An itemised list of the items (include reference number) and quantity in the delivery to enable the delivery to be checked and anything amiss flagged as soon as possible.
  • The signature of the person receiving the delivery (this can be on a paper form or digitally).
