Choosing the right digital painting tool

From My Second Brain

In the first task we uses the painting programs drawing features to create a smily face:

Tool How it was used
Fill To fill in the background and face colour
Line Used to create the nose
Shape Used to create the oval shape of the face and the round eyes
Paintbrush Used to create the eye brows and hair
Undo Not used - but can be used to go back a step at a time
Eraser Not used - but can be used to erase mistakes - depending on the program this can leave behind marks (either white or whatever the layer below is)

We then went on to learn about Russian artist, Wassily Kandinsky who lived between 1866 and 1944. He was famed for using his art to show his feelings, this type of art is known as abstract art.

Here is my attempt at creating an artwork in the style of Kandinsky.

I used the line tool to create the segments, the fill tool to fill in the boxes and the paintbrush tool to create the individual circles.
