== Count out an amount from a larger group ==
As a reminder when we count, the last [[number]] we say when counting a group is the number we have all together in that group.

We don't have to count every object if we just want a certain number from a group. For example if we baked a [[birthday]] [[cake]] and wanted to put [[four]] [[Candle|candles]] on it to celebrate a [[Four|fourth]] [[birthday]] we could count out [[four]] [[Candle|candles]] from however many [[Candle|candles]] we have.

== Count out from different starting points ==
When counting we don't always need to start from [[one]], say you already have two objects on the [[table]] but you need [[five]] we can count on from the next number. The last number we say is again the number we have.
