== Listening to & following instructions ==
Instructions are sentences that tell us how to do something, we have to listen carefully to what is being asked in order to be able to complete what we are being asked to do.

Examples of times when we follow instructions:

* Following a [[recipe]] to bake a [[cake]]
* Following instructions to make a [[LEGO]] set.

== Giving & following instructions ==
Instructions should be short and simple as this makes them easier for the person who is listening to you to remember and follow them.

Examples could be:

* Go to your [[peg]]
* Put on your [[coat]]
* Line up at the [[door]]

If there are multiple instructions to follow these should be broken down and given in a sensible order for example for instructions to put on your shoes the order be:

# Put on your [[socks]]
# Put on your [[shoes]]
# Tie up your [[laces]]
