We can recognise [[numbers]] without [[counting]]. For example when looking at a [[dice]] when playing a [[Board Game|board game]] we can see we have rolled say a [[one]] or [[three]] without counting the dots individually. We look at the [[pattern]] and know we can move one or three places on the board.
